Using my signature style of creating movement and shading throughout a block of colour, Silence is communicating sensual serenity. The dark background allows for the lips to become more pronounced and the message of silence to be accentuated. Symbolically lips represent sensuality and the finger placed vertically across them communicates silence. Wherever we turn nowadays we are bombarded with noise to the point that we have forgotten the need to stop, contemplate and just be. This painting acts as a reminder to pause once in a while.
